Project Summary

Technia Environment and Planning Limited was appointed to support the expansion of an operational waste management site through the extension of the existing yard. The proposed development sought to increase the area available for the storage and treatment of waste, alongside the installation of upgraded sorting equipment, including a comb-screen, density separator and additional picking line bays.

The intention of the project was to increase operational capacity, reduce the volume of waste sent to landfill, and enhance recycling and recovery performance through improved material segregation on site.

Our Approach

We led the preparation and submission of a planning application for the physical expansion and operational enhancements. Our scope of work included:

• Detailed planning strategy to support site extension and equipment installation.
