Project Summary
Technia Environment and Planning Limited was appointed to lead the planning and project coordination for a 39MW onshore wind farm.
The project required comprehensive site evaluation, community engagement, and environmental assessments to secure planning consent for this significant renewable energy scheme.

We led the planning and project management process to ensure a robust and well-supported application. Our approach included:
- Conducting detailed site feasibility studies to identify suitable locations.
- Managing the preparation and submission of the planning application.
- Coordinating environmental assessments, including ecology, landscape, and noise surveys.
- Leading community consultation to address local concerns and highlight community benefits.
- Developing a habitat management plan to mitigate environmental impacts.
- Liaising with the Local Planning Authority and statutory consultees throughout the process.
Outcome
Planning permission was granted by committee in 2017, enabling the project to progress. The approved wind farm contributes to renewable energy targets while delivering environmental enhancements and community benefits.
