Planning Consent for Waste Management Facility

We are pleased to announce that planning approval has been granted for construction of a building extension at Merthyr Borough Recycling Centre, Merthyr Tydfil. The building extension will be used for the storage of plant and equipment and waste and is required to enable our customer to continue to meet evolving recycling and environmental legislation and policy.

Given the growing focus on the ecological and environmental impacts of developments within the planning process, the application involved the submission of comprehensive documentation including a Green Infrastructure Statement, a Lighting Plan and active travel provisions.

After due consideration of the planning and technical information, the Local Authority was satisfied that the development would not result in any unacceptable impacts on nearby businesses or the local environment. Planning consent was granted under delegated powers.
